Olga Alexeeva · Technical Product & Delivery Leader

I turn business goals into tech that ships.

Portrait of Olga Alexeeva

I'm a senior product and project manager (PdM/PjM) with C-level and co-founding experience, and a field CTO attitude. The work that interests me most sits at the intersection of product and technical depth: products where those decisions happen in the same room, and teams that want someone who genuinely engages at that level.

I've worked at both ends of the scale: complex products with millions of users, and building from zero as a startup co-founder.

Technical enough to evaluate architecture and make sound calls on AI and complex systems. Commercial enough to drive pricing, go-to-market and C-level stakeholder portfolios.

Most of my career has been with multi-language, multi-national teams: 10+ countries and 9+ time zones, in the office and fully remote.

Written is a two-sided publishing platform for authors and readers. Authors self-publish for free, get paid instantly and earn up to 90% on each sale. Readers buy limited or unlimited editions and can resell them, with authors earning 20% on every resale. Readers pay by card, authors withdraw in regular currency, and the infrastructure behind it stays invisible.

I co-founded it and lead product end to end, and act as field CTO for architecture and vendor decisions. From zero to open beta in mid-2025; now 30k+ users, 18k+ authors and 4.5k+ books.

Key resultsHide key results
  • Shipped the open beta MVP: editions system, resale market, iOS and Android reading apps, author profiles and social feed, onboarding flows
  • Lead a cross-functional team of 20+ and align the roadmap with 10–12 business stakeholders, prioritising with author interviews, product data and market-expansion impact
  • Grew author sign-ups from ~10 to 1,000–2,000 a month together with marketing, including a redesign of author registration
  • Built two AI agents: one automates cold outreach for marketing, the other reviews contest manuscripts for quality, integrity and story value
  • Lead technical partnerships (Stripe, Coinflow, Turnkey, ElevenLabs), own the tech budget and run hiring and onboarding for the tech team

Bookmate

Chief Product Officer → Managing Director
RoadmapsContinuous discoveryPrioritisation frameworksA/B experiment designP&L

Bookmate is a subscription reading app with 13M+ users and a library from 20k+ publishers, operating across LatAm, Northern Europe and the Balkans. The company was product-led: what to build was decided from the CPO seat.

Started as CPO, managing 5 product managers and a 6-person data and ML team. In mid-2023 became Managing Director, adding engineering, QA and analytics (~70% of company operations): 13 direct reports, partial P&L and 9 C-level stakeholders, reporting to the CEO.

Key resultsHide key results
  • ML-enhanced recommendations raised reading retention to ~80%
  • A hypothesis-tested churn algorithm cut attrition by 5% across all markets
  • Pricing experiments and engagement campaigns lifted conversion and engagement by ~4%
  • A customer achievements program grew the active user base by 10%
  • Project management changes cut key project shipping time by 30%

Self-employed Product Consultant

winAutopilote is an automated ordering tool for pharmacies in French-speaking markets. It takes routine stock ordering off pharmacists' hands, saving up to 8 hours a week and about €7,000 in treasury per pharmacy.

I joined the winPharma product team as a consultant to help launch it: ran customer interviews, managed the alpha-testing programs with early adopters, and ran the feedback loop through to stable release. Also designed, prototyped and launched a workforce optimisation tracker in two months.

Lamoda is a major fashion e-commerce platform, then part of Global Fashion Group with 4–5M active customers across CIS. My scope was the side customers never see: apps and systems for couriers, warehouse staff and logistics operations.

I was brought in to build a product function for logistics IT that didn't exist yet: hired and led 4 PMs and set the vision, roadmap and prioritisation across last-mile delivery apps, warehouse systems, supply chain tools and partner integrations, with ~20 senior stakeholders.

Key resultsHide key results
  • Integrated an external delivery partner network: ~$47K monthly revenue increase
  • Logistics integrations for international brands, including Inditex and Calzedonia
  • Datamatrix scanning at every delivery touchpoint, for item-level authenticity checks at handoff
  • Integration architect: designed cross-system data flows and pipelines into Oracle BI
  • Co-built a leadership reporting system with ML forecasting, anomaly detection and OKR tracking

Netcracker, a NEC company, builds software for telecom operators. I managed delivery and technical support for international clients: Telecom Austria, Telefónica, Telecom Italia, Orange and Canal+.

I took over delayed multi-year deliveries and got them back on track. Along the way I planned pre-sale estimates, risk assessments, delivery and resource plans, defined roadmaps with client stakeholders, and led cross-functional delivery teams.

winPharma

System Analyst → Product Manager
Product strategyCustomer researchContinuous discoveryLaunches & rolloutsTechnical writing (PRDs, specs)

winPharma makes software for French pharmacies. I joined as a system analyst, working directly with pharmacists and translating their problems for developers, and grew into full product ownership with an engineering team that I hired myself.

Key resultsHide key results
  • Relaunched winpharmacie.com on a new stack: pharmacists keep in touch with patients and prepare orders 50% faster
  • Relaunched winTeam, a corporate social network for pharmacy staff with group ordering and internal communication
  • Grew product sales by ~5% through an engaged user community and experiments
How I work

Rules I work by

1 / 7

“What problem are we solving?”

Before we argue about a feature, a bug, or a roadmap, I ask what problem it solves. Half the arguments end right there. Either the problem doesn’t exist yet and we’ve collectively fallen in love with building something for the sake of building it, or the solution doesn’t actually solve the problem we have.

2 / 7

Bad news is where strategy starts.

Strategy is how we respond when things go wrong: name the real challenge, then design a way through it. So when someone brings me bad news, my next question is “okay, what do we do with it?”

Credit to Richard Rumelt’s Good Strategy Bad Strategy, one of the few business books that actually changed how I work.

3 / 7

Stuck and exhausted? Decide something and test it.

If a project has worn everyone out, trying one thing quickly beats three more months of circling. Even a wrong attempt teaches you more than another meeting.

4 / 7

One page beats five meetings.

It’s fine to come to a meeting not knowing what you want. Then it’s a brainstorm, and we work out the problem together. But if the meeting has to end with decisions, one page of research beforehand saves hours of arguing.

5 / 7

“Impossible” usually means “we don’t know enough yet.”

Every tech team’s favourite first reaction to a new idea is “that’s technically impossible.” I get it, I’ve said it too. But after a bit of research, it often turns out to be doable, and the drama becomes an interesting engineering challenge.

6 / 7

Once we decide, we pull in one direction.

Argue as much as you like before the decision. After it, a team half-heartedly pulling three ways loses to a team fully committed to a slightly imperfect plan.

7 / 7

If the result isn’t what I wanted, I probably didn’t explain it.

So before anyone starts, I say what I expect, by when, what “good” looks like, and how deep to go. A quick experiment and six months of R&D are very different jobs, and nobody can guess which one I had in mind.

What I bring to a team

Strategy & discovery

I start from the problem: market, users and our own data, all checked, never taken on faith.
